First Day as a First Grader

Lily had a wonderful first day of 1st grade! This morning went as planned and the whole family escorted her to class.

So, what did the rest of us do to celebrate the start of a new school year? We all went out to breakfast, of course! While Maggie and Cash played, Conn and I had some wonderful conversations about life, jobs, family, school, money, etc. Oh, and we laughed a TON! Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with a wonderful daddy and husband! God is good!

Daddy left for work, and I had a fun, filled day with the other two. We found Maggie some Twinkle Toes, and she could not be more excited! She and Cash start school next week! The day flew by and it wasn't long before our big 1st grader was home! Lily came bouncing off the bus with our sweet neighbor and friend, Tess. We tried to ask them about their day, but a game of chase seemed more appealing. Guess that is a good sign! Yay, for 1st grade! :)

So glad she had a great first day!! I asked G when he was getting off the bus, "How was first grade?" he said, " I love first grade, we only had to work ONE time!" Ha- I think that will be changing soon. :)

Loved catching up on ALL the pictures that we missed while we were away. I know that Mrs. Hagar will be so blessed to have Lily in her class this year. Looks as if everyone is ready for school. It blesses my heart that they all look forward to the first day of school. Love you, Nanny
