Weekend Wrap-Up

Well, the kids are tucked in bed, lunch is packed, and clothes are laid out! Lily is beyond ready for tomorrow to start, and to experience her first day as a big 1st grader! I am surprised she didn't have trouble going to sleep. She is SO excited!

Friday, we went over to the Sherman's to go swimming. They were out of town for Lily's birthday and had some presents for her to open. As always, Janet had some for Maggie and Cash, too. :) We all had a blast! Conn swam with the kids while I got to sit and talk with Janet and Molly. Thank you for loving and treating us like family! We are more than blessed to have you in our lives!

Saturday, the girls and I went to their friends, Lexie and Ellie's, birthday party. They have birthdays days a part, so their mommas usually plan their parties together. Such a fun idea! It was a tumbling party and was being held at a cheer leading facility. Lily and Maggie had such a great time! Thanks for the invite, girls!

Tonight, Lily and I ran to the grocery store to pick up a few things. On our way there, we decided to go and get her hair trimmed. The lady who was cutting it was a beginner and I just knew that all of Lily's hair was going to be chopped off for the first day of school! Finally, she asked another lady for help and Lily's hair was saved. Thank goodness! While we were at the store, Lily, had picked out a cute cake and we also bought some ice cream. We decided very last minute, to have a Back to School Bash! Ha! Mammy and Pappy stopped by just for a second to join in on the festivities. Somehow, I didn't get one single picture. How is that possible? Ha!

Okay, better get to bed! Tomorrow morning is going to come bright and early!

Praying that you all have a great 1st day and that your kiddos have a blessed school year!

I love the teacher gift too!! And I am so glad M & L were able to come to Ellie and Lexie's party. Ellie already has her picture frame painted- she LOVED it! Thank you!! Lily was beaming this morning! Her teacher is lucky to have such a sweet student in her class. I will miss my Lily hugs when I am in G's classroom. I know she will have a great year!! Hope her first day was a blast!
