Easter Happenings

We had such a wonderful Easter!  It was absolutely gorgeous here in Houston! Could not have asked for better weather!

Maggie and Cash both had egg hunts at their schools. Poor Lily is getting older and doesn't get to have fun anymore...so she says. ;)

We met my family at the park for delicious fried catfish, an Easter egg hunt, overflowing Easter baskets, and wonderful play time with the cousins.

Due to crazy schedules, we weren't able to be with Conn's family until the week after Easter. It was fun to extend it for a little while longer. Nanny and PawPaw prepared a yummy lunch for us and of course, had an awesome egg hunt with goodies for the Easter baskets.

Happy 6th Birthday, Maggie Mae

Our 2nd born is 6 today!! How did that happen???
Maggie has been waiting FOREVER to turn 6! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were rushing to the hospital, with LOTS of back contractions, awaiting her arrival! She arrived fast and furious, and hasn't slowed down since. She is truly one of a kind and adds so much spunk and spice to our family! We couldn't imagine life with out her! God blessed us so much by bringing her into our lives 6 years ago!
We love you...Mag's/Magarooskie/Roo/Mag Pie/Peanut!!!

7 Months

This sweet boy is 7 months old!
He has had a rough couple of months of being sick. Everything from croup, bronchitis, and the flu. His nose still constantly runs and he has constant congestion and a croupy like cough. We are thinking he is most likely allergic to something he is eating. He is still nursing and just started on baby foods this month. So, who knows what it could be. We are looking at getting him tested sometime soon.
Even through all this sickness, he is still the happiest baby! He smiles at anything and everyone and has the greatest belly laugh! His first tooth popped through on the bottom and the top two are actually about to pop through any day now. He inchworm crawls all around the living room and loves to sit and play like a big boy.
He is pretty much sleeping through the night. On most nights, he goes to bed around 8 and sleeps anywhere from 5:30-7:30. He takes about 3 naps a day. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. Oh, and here is a major confession...he still sleeps in our room. HA! Yes! I know it's so crazy and we have been planning to move him for months. It's just with all of his sickness and waking up multiple times during the night, we refuse to go up and down the stairs all night long. Also, we still need to buy a 2nd monitor. Yeah, poor 4th kid! I know, I know! Oh, and just to be clear, he DOES NOT sleep in our bed! He never has. He sleeps in a pack-n-play and does awesome. We'll hopefully move him someday soon.
We have been to so many dr.'s appointments lately, that you would think I would know exactly how much he weighs. I'm thinking at the last one, it was 18lbs. 5oz. He is pretty much in all 9-12month clothing. He also still has the biggest baby blues!
We love this little man with all of our hearts!

Bluebonnets - 2012

We participated in the good ol Texas tradition like we do every year, and took the kids to take pictures in the bluebonnets. We had to drive about 40 min away to find a decent field, but we finally did. The weather was gorgeous and almost too sunny to be taking pictures. We waited until about 6pm for the sun to set a bit, but it was still so bright. We did the best we could. The kids really weren't into it...even with tons of bribes. They did fine when it was just them sitting by themselves. But a group shot was another story! We finally called it quits after about 140 (fast) pics that only took about a total of 10 min! When I was editing the pictures, I was laughing so hard. So many of them perfectly describe our crazy life right now! Oh, well! All about the memories...right?! :)

Of course, every bluebonnet picture taking trip deserves a much needed stop at the ice cream shop!!!
