BUC-EE'S...In the House

At almost 9 months old, Cash finally got his first set of teeth. Yes, I said teeth! He got 6 in 1 week! 4 on top and 2 on bottom. The two top ones were the very first ones to pop on through. He grinds them together with the bottom ones. Pretty sure that it is worse than nails on a chalkboard! You would think that this boy has a whole mouth full of teeth. He eats (or gums) everything in sight. Yes, I give my sweet and precious, little man, anything his heart desires. Sorry. :)

This Girl

Five years. It's already been 5 years, and now it's time for Kindergarten. I can't believe that it's finally here.

This girl, who was just born into this world (or so it seems) is now getting ready to leave home and officially begin "growing up"... and she is so excited.

This girl, so sweet and innocent, is now going off into a world without mom and dad. So scary for us as parents. So many thoughts and concerns... and she is so excited.

This girl, our first born, with a sensitive heart of gold, is going to get her feelings hurt.

This girl, the smartest kiddo in our home, will be thrown into a school of other kiddos who are just as smart or maybe smarter- and she will have to get used to it.

This girl, who has been one of the biggest centers of attention at home, will have to learn to share, be patient, and be quiet (which will be tough on her because of her dad's characteristics).

There are so many emotions and thoughts, but the biggest thing is that we cannot be in control of what she hears, sees, or experiences for 7 hours a day & 5 days a week.

Our friend, JB Barnett, has a song coming out on his new album called, "Peter Pan," in which he sings a song about his niece. His thought/prayer is- - - "keep her innocent." Our prayer exactly. This girl, dear Lord, please keep her innocent. Really not sure if we're ready, but Kindergarten is here, like it or not... and this girl, is so excited.

(pause my blog music)

We love you, Lily Belle, and we are so proud of you! We have prayed for this day since before you were born. Daddy and I know that it is going to be such an amazing year for you!

Wedding Weekend

Last weekend, Lily, was a flower girl in my cousins wedding. She did such an amazing job and looked beautiful in her little white dress.

Conn wasn't able to go, so Pappy took her outside to do a little photo shoot.

Lily and the bride, Deana.
Caleb, the cute little ring bearer. (He was 4 months OLDER than Lily!)

They made it!
All in all, she did pretty good.
Whew! She made it through!
Pappy made sure to show her how a girl "tosses" the flower petals instead of chunking them! Ha!
She LOVED the dancing! Here she is giving it a try!
She plopped herself up on one of the tables and just watched. Funny!
Getting ready to blow some bubbles.
There are 6 kids in my dads family. It is very rare that they are all together at the same time. So, of course we had to get a picture. :)
Thank you, Deana and Paul, for letting Lily be a part of your special day. I know it is something that she will never forget!!

It's Hurkey Time!

Most of the time, this is how Cash sits.  Same leg...same postion...every time!  So funny!  You would think that after a while, it would become uncomfortable or that his leg would fall asleep.  Nope!  He can sit like this forever and play.  Oh, and Conn said that there please be no male cheerleader jokes.  At this point, we are praying that he'll receive a full athletic scholarship as a lineman!

I go to lunch once a week with these girls, and have the greatest time! We laugh til we cry and then laugh some more! Thanks so much, girls, for sharing this linkage with me. Oh, and I was going to put a picture of all of us on here, but can you believe that I do not have one stinking picture of all of us together? Now, that is sad!!!

Okay. So...enjoy everyone! If you have some more sites that you come across, please do share the love!

Happy Wednesday!

On Friday, the kids and I had a play date with some sweet friends....that we had never met. Missy and I have become friends via blog world and we were finally able to get all of us together (She has 4 kiddos ages 6 and under! WOW!!). Missy also invited her sweet friend, Beth. Beth has 3 boys. So yes, there was a house full of kids that were 6 and under!!!

It was such a fun time and everyone bonded from the moment we walked in the door. Thanks for having us over, Missy! Let's do it again, real soon!!!
