Last week, Lily, celebrated her 100th Day of School. They were told to come up with a project that included 100 items.
Here she is with her 100 gumballs inside a gumball machine.
We thought that her idea was very original, but she said 4 other people did the same thing. Oh, well! :)
In my last post, I ended by saying that Conn and I were supposed to go away for the weekend. BUT...because of the crazy snowstorm that was supposed to take place, they shut down all of Houston. Including the airports! We were okay with the realization that we were staying put and will hopefully get to reschedule. But, the worst part, there wasn't a single drop of snow!!! HA!!!!!!! So, instead of heading to Colorado (where there WAS snow), we decided to make the most of some of our weekend, and got away for the night to a hotel in Houston. It was wonderful! No, it wasn't Colorado, but we were still kidless for 24hrs. :)
We did A LOT of this...
We did A LOT of this...
and, A LOT of this...

Hey it wasn't Colorado, but I would take a night away anywhere!! Your parents are awesome!!! And that sushi looks fabulous!!
I'm glad you all got to have some time by yourself anyway. Looks like you had fun! :)
IT was a YUCKY weekend in Colorado anyway. Think wet, sticky snow, wind, freezing cold and no sunshine!!! Maybe you can reschedule when we are having our usual bright blue skies and warm sunshine!
I think y'all travel more than anybody I know! Love it!
Sorry your trip was cancelled, but glad you had some alone time. Also, our 100 day project was a gum ball machine too! I thought I was so creative. Ha ha We used Trix cereal for ours. : )
I am glad that you got away for the night!
