On Friday, Maggie, had her book character parade. She chose a Fancy Nancy book. We love Fancy Nancy in this house! It fits her personality perfectly because they are both so spunky!
Maggie and her buddy Theresa
Cash and Daddy
(dumdum's are our lifesavers)
The parade made its way out to the pumpkin patch in the courtyard. So, I was able to snag some pictures out there.
He adores his Mae-Mae!
Love our girl!
Well...maybe she isn't so fancy after all. Ha!
Saturday, we took the kids to a Fall Festival at a church a few blocks from our neighborhood. It is a very small church and the festival was very low key. It was all so simple, but still so fun!! The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect family outing!
Cash loved the games and actually participated in most of them.
Yes, I did the cake walk with the kids. Yes, we played probably 20 rounds of it. No lie! We were not leaving until a cake was won!! Maggie finally won a cake! Go, Mags!!!
He LOVED this kazoo! He cracked up every time he got it to whistle. I finally had to hide it once we got home because it became very annoying. Ha!
Of course, you can't go to a festival without having your face painted! :)
On Sunday, we made a stop at Mrs. Janet's, attended the festival at our church, and met our friends for a fun hayride. The kids finally were able to wear their costumes. They were SO excited! For 6 years, I have been able to pick a "theme" every year for their costumes. This year, it all changed. Boo! I had SO many fun ideas in mind. But, Lily wanted nothing to do with it. I guess I can't complain too much. She still totally lets me pick out her clothes and I am still able to put bows in her hair. I haven't totally lost her...yet! :)
Fairy, Pirate, and Cow Girl
I loved that he kept on his bandana.
Getting ready to knock on Mrs. Janet's door.
Fun at the festival!
Sweet friends, Lillian and Julia
Love my boy(s)!
After the festival, we headed to our friends, Kim and Grady's, for a hayride. We have done this for a couple of years, and it is always so fun! Cash, was a little bit of a handful and didn't enjoy being trapped on a trailer. But, once again, candy and dumdum's came to the rescue! :)
When we arrived, they had a pinata for the kids.
Lily, Jadyn, Alyssa
Cady and Maggie
One of the houses in their neighborhood had set up a "haunting in the woods". All the dads were given the awesome job of taking the kids through it. I stayed behind with Cash. :) The girls loved it...even though Conn did say it was pretty scary. Fun times!
Hope you all made fun memories with you families!
Have a great week! It has finally turned cold here in our area. I'm not a fan. I mean, I like it being cool, but going from the 90's to the 50's in a matter of hours is a little drastic for me. Oh, well. It has been nice typing this post while sitting next to our blazing fireplace!
