A couple of weekends ago, we loaded up the Expedition, and headed north on 145. We made our way to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. This was our first trip with our family of 5 , and amazingly enough, we had an amazingly good time (minus a few glitches). The kids did wonderful and we all had a blast!!
Indoor Water Park
Where Cash spent most of his time. He did sooo great!!
Having a snack
Wave Pool
If you were under a certain height , you had to wear a life jacket. Good thing. Could have been ugly! :)
Cub Club
The girls could play games, color, make crafts, play on the computer, etc.
Our Room
The rooms were huge. Just the basic standard rooms had two queens and a pull out couch. Cash slept in the pack-n-play. Everyone did great and slept perfectly.
Story Time at the Clock Tower
Every night at 8 o'clock, the clock "comes alive", and puts on a musical show and reads a bed time story to the crowd. Most of the kids wear their pj's.

View of the foyer
More time at the pool!
Cash 's first time in the water
Some of our best friend's, the Aylor's, came by to hang out for the night. We only get to see each other a couple of times year, but we always seem to pick up right where we left off.
There is an arcade, too.
Heading home
The night before we were supposed to head home, Conn ended up in the ER with Maggie. She had come down with a urinary tract infection. It was pretty awful and they ended up spending most of the night at the hospital. Thankfully, Conn said the experience was as good as it could have gone...for an ER visit. We thought it was going to be a LONG 4 hr. drive, but the medicine knocked Maggie out for over half of the trip.
Not Lily, though. Give her a video and snacks, and she is good to go!
He did great driving home on only 3 1/2 hrs. of sleep.
The crew!
One trip down, and many more to go!! Conn and I LOVE to travel, so it is good to know that our kids are headed in that direction, too!! Until next time...

That place looks like so much fun!!! I'll have to remember that for when Charlie's a little older!
We are about 3 hours from the Great Wolfe Lodge in Cincinnati and hope to go sometime this fall, it looks like alot of fun! Sorry about the ER trip, but thankful they were able to treat her.
Happy Mother's Day
Thank you Ashley for the birthday message! Looks like you had a fun little vacation! Maybe we'll have to check that place out one day when Emerson is a little older. I've never heard of it before...

That looks like so much fun! I wanna go with my fam now!! But I'm wondering if my girls are too old for that now-Emily is almost 15 and stuff like that just doesn't seem "cool" to her anymore:(
My neighbor just told me about Wolf Lodge a few weeks ago. I had heard you were going and was anxious to hear how it went. Glad you guys liked it. We may make a trip out there soon...Hope Maggie is feeling better.
