For the past 3 years, our Small Group has planned a lake weekend get-away. Not everyone in our group is always able to go. Some dates are just thrown out there and whoever can make, makes it. Some stay the whole time, and others just come for the day. We all take turns cooking and getting meals together. It works out perfectly and is very informal. Our family has never been able to attend because it is on the weekends. But, this year Conn took some vacation time so were able to go. I am so glad he did! We had an absolute blast! We left Cash with my parents and just took the girls! Let me just say, that was by far the best decision we have made in a long time! We love that boy...BUT...a lake, a boat, life jackets, and a hot tub, are just not the best combination for our 21 month old crazy man! :) Thank you, Mammy and Pappy! The girls did AWESOME with the whole lake experience. They have never tubed before, but they both took to it like they have been doing it for years.
Many "power naps" were taken on the boat rides.
The guys cooking all of us adults a midnight snack.
After the kiddos were in bed, the guys played hours and hours of 'Around the World'...
...while the girls did what we do best. :)
The hot tub and the outside deck was a favorite for all!
Maggie can swim 100% all by herself. But, for some reason, she insisted on wearing a life jacket the whole weekend! Ha!
Wave Runner fun!
Lily is the only kid that LOVED to go SUPER fast! She had NO fear! So, Conn rode with her most of the time! :) Love the expressions on their faces!
Kim is a rock star and was a wake boarding pro!
Climbing pirate island. :)
Every night after dinner, we would take a sunset boat ride. It was a perfect way to end the day!
Maggie LOVES her some Mr. Greg!
”The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1
Goodbye, lake! See ya next time!
Thank you, McKellar's, for hosting us! We are already planning to be there next year...or, any other time that we get invited! ;)
