New Found Love

D-D-D-DORA!!!

Last night, we went to our Chick-fil-a, to see Dora and Diego! This was Maggie's dream come true! Well, if you consider staying from a very far distance and tightly held in Conn's arms, a dream come true! HA! If you know her well, you know two things...she is obsessed with Dora BUT she is also terrified of dressed-up characters!! So, this was gonna make for a very interesting night. Much to our surprise, she warmed up very quickly and was hugging all over them within 10 minutes of us being there!

Maggie wouldn't go near them by herself, but Lily had no problem!

School days, school days...

School days, school days,

Dear old golden rule days.
'Readin' and 'ritin' and 'rithmetic,
Taught to the tune of a hick'ry stick.

I was your bashful barefoot beau,

'I love you, Joe,'
When we were a couple of kids.

For as far back as I can remember, my dad always sang this song to me when he would wake me up for school in the mornings. Yes, he woke me up every single school day until I graduated from high school! I never owned an alarm clock until I went off to college. I taught this silly song to Conn when we got married. Now, we have passed on this tradition, and we sing it to the girls every morning when we wake them up. They squeal under the covers and get the biggest kick out of it! I love it!

School days...are in full swing around this house! Today, Maggie, was finally able to start at her school! She loved it and had a wonderful day! She is sad that Lily is not with her this year, but she got over very quickly when she realized that she no longer has to take naps (at school!) and gets to play on the big kid playground! Fun times, I tell ya!

Big sister, Lily, is about to finish up her 2nd week of kindergarten. She loves it so much, and was so sad last week when we told her that she doesn't get to go on the weekends. Funny! She has met so many new friends and absolutely adores her teachers and her class! We are so blessed!

Here she is with her sweet friend, Gavin. They are in the same class! Lily and Gavin, have known each other since they were born and his family lives a couple of houses down from us.

9 Months and ALL Boy!

Cash is 9 months old, today!! I can't believe that in 3 short months, my littlest love, will be a year old! Of course, the BIG 1st Birthday Bash, is already being planned!

Cash has had a rough little month. He has had numerous ear infections, runny noses, and coughs. He started wheezing over the weekend, so they wanted him to get an x-ray for what they thought was a minor case of pneumonia. So, we have been giving him breathing treatments and he had to get this big ol honkin' shot in his leg...3 different days. Thankfully, he has been blessed with the yummiest thighs, and only cries for a second.

This kid is non-stop and is ALL boy! He is a crawling machine and pulls up on anything he can get his hands on. If he has a toy, he doesn't play with it, he BANGS it really loud and just laughs. So funny how different he already is from the girls. Yesterday, he crawled to the very top of my moms stairs with no help. He'll let go of things and just stand there for about 10 sec. or so. No steps yet. But, I bet it is only a matter of weeks. Oh, and his newest trick...he waves and says "dye-dye" (bye-bye). Cutest thing!

Despite being sick, Cash still eats great! Can ya tell? Ha! He loves his momma the most, but he loves baby food, big people food, and anything he can get his hands on. With the 6 teeth that have come in this month, his menu has only expanded. There really isn't anything he won't turn down.
