SOLD

Yes, we are in San Antonio. But, I just had to let you all know that after almost 10 months, we have finally SOLD and CLOSED on our other house. Yes, OTHER. As in, we have been paying two mortgages every month. Uhhhhhhh!!!! We finalized everything before we left this afternoon. It was a whirlwind of a day and very hectic, but it is done! Thank you all who have been praying for this day. God is good!
Goodbye, Princess Ann!

On the Road Again

We are heading out for our 2nd vacation of the summer. We are taking the girls to Sea World. Lily still thinks she is going to swim with Shamu! :) Then on Wed., we are meeting the rest of the Marler (my family) crew at Garner State Park in the Hill Country. We stay in a huge cabin on the Frio River every summer. Fun, LOUD, and crazy times ahead! As always, there will be many pictures to follow! Hope y'all have a great week! See ya!

Half-Way Point

Week 20
  • You're half way there!
  • The rapid growth stage is about over. While things have slowed down, this next stage is vital to survival.
  • The baby's heart grows stronger. Find a quiet place, lay flat on your back. Locate your own heartbeat by finding your pulse. Next lay your hand on your belly. You may be able to distinguish the two heartbeats!
  • His legs are reaching their relative size. With the increase muscle develop occurring as well, you will start feeling much more than tiny flutter kicks soon!
  • Immunities are being transferred from you to your baby now. These immune cells will protect her from viruses you've already had for up to six months after birth!
  • The nerve cells for taste, smell, hearing, seeing, and touch are now developing in specialized areas of the brain. Production slows down as existing nerve cells grow larger and make more complex connections.
  • Your baby may startle in reaction to loud sounds. Amazingly, she can actually hear noises outside of the womb. Familiar voices, music, and sounds that baby becomes accustomed to during her development stages often are calming after birth.
  • If your baby is a girl, her uterus is starting to develop. She has approximately six million eggs in her ovaries. About one million will remain at birth.
  • Baby is about 6.46 inches (16.4cm) and weighs around 10.58 ounces (300g).

Lily Belle's 4th Birthday

Happy 4th Birthday, Lily Belle!!!!

Our Lily Belle is 4 today. Our first born. Our outgoing, social, singing, dramatic, friendly, caring, funny, and imaginative, Lily, is FOUR!!! So hard to believe. She has been such an amazing blessing to our lives and to our family. She makes us laugh...HARD...every single day! We love her so very much, and thank Jesus that He brought all 8lbs. 11oz. of her into our lives 4 years ago today, July 24, 2004 at 6:32 a.m.

9 months pregnant

She here!!!

Lily's Fancy Nancy Princess Party

We had Lily's party today, as well. If you know our family at all, you know that it is a running joke that if we McWhorter's are planning a party outside, it is going to rain or storm!!!! It rained at our outdoor wedding 8 years ago. It rained the day Lily was born. It rained for every party the girls have ever had in the past 4 years. SERIOUSLY!!!! You can ask our friends. But, if you also know us, you know that Conn and I are so easy going and just laugh it off and roll with the flow. So, instead of Lily having a Fancy Nancy SWIM party, we had to change it last minute to a Fancy Nancy INDOOR princess party, here at our house. If you don't know who Fancy Nancy is, she is a cute little story book character that is oh-so fancy and just happens to be just like our sweet Lily. We have been reading her books for a couple of years, and decided to plan Lily's party around that theme.
